Intersegmental Coordinating Committee (ICC)

In 1987, the Round Table, in keeping with legislative discussions, established the ICC (Intersegmental Coordinating Committee) as its programmatic and administrative arm to implement its policy directives. In doing so, the Round Table members committed to:

  • Providing a stream of continuous resources, direct and in-kind, to support collaborative activities, including staff participation in its operations.

  • Focusing on activities and projects that mutually benefit all members.

  • Guiding and establishing priorities for ICC.

The ICC is composed of staff, faculty, and student representatives from all sectors of education, with the responsibility for fostering collaboration within California’s educational community at all levels.

  • The ICC is the only state-level entity comprised of faculty, administrators, and students from all public and independent educational sectors. It remains the only organization at a statewide level whose mission revolves around coordination among the educational sectors in the state. Thus, the ICC serves as a critical space whereby educational and student support topics bridge from secondary to postsecondary education.
